I received my B.A. in Fine Arts from U.C.L.A. in
1974. Since then, I have been inspired by the unique
qualities of our natural surroundings through the
media of watercolors, acrylics, and pastels. Many
paintings are completed “en plein air”,
working on location to capture the nuances of atmosphere
and light conditions on the landscape. Creating
scenes at dawn and sunset, and reflections on water
are a real passion.
My other specialty is painting portraits of people
and the animals they love.
My artwork can be found in many private collections,
as well as the U.C.S.C. McHenry Library, Ananda
Yoga Center of Scotts Valley, and the Center for
Conscious Living in Santa Cruz.
For the past 32 years, I directed a Montessori
school, and have taught art and guitar classes.
My other interests include singing in Pacific Voices
Choir and Lamazi Balkan ensemble, and playing percussion
for The Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers.
